OUR STORY
We started Katamu because we were tired of settling for subpar lifting belts.
As lifters, we – Sergio, Richard, and Chris – found ourselves choosing between flimsy equipment or emptying our wallets. With zero business experience but plenty of gym hours, we created what we couldn't find in August 2022.
We built our first designs to handle our own heaviest sets. When gym regulars started asking about our gear, we realized other lifters faced the same frustration we did. That’s how Katumu was born.
OUR MISSION
Katamu stands for more than just equipment – it honors the process that builds both strength and character.
We know the toughest reps matter most. Those dark mornings when the bar feels impossible, but you show up anyway define you more than PR days.

I've had mine for I'd say 4 months, it's great, the leather is beautiful, and doesn't jsut fold in half when you use it too much, it will last until I either grow out of it or I break it, it will take a LONG time to wear this thing out
